Bogart in Pasadena

Spending a nice sunny Sunday afternoon with the humans in Pasadena…

First we stopped at the Corner Bakery (since Lovebirds Cafe – mom’s favorite – isn’t open on Sundays) for a sandwich… they’re nice there, and the food is good.

They brought me a little bowl of water (I was indeed thirsty!) and many people can recognize an Airedale so I got a decent amount of attention…

Mom offered me a bit of her semi-offensive vegetarian sandwich.  Only the mozzarella cheese, thank you, I’ll pass on the rest.  What could she possibly see in a sandwich like that – only cheese, tomatos, basil, and balsalmic vinegar – today even the cheese didn’t seem that enticing (and yes, I’m usually a cheese man).  I think she was only trying to give some to me because she didn’t like it that much… but I won’t be fooled.  I gave it a perfunctory sniff, then went back to sitting next to dad.  Maybe some of his chicken pomodori sandwich will find it’s way to the ground…

Then dad had to run into Trader Joe’s — mm, I sense some good eatin’ potential there – so mom and I waited outside.  I kept thinking that everyone coming out MUST be dad…

Is that you dad?   Nope.

Uh, that’s definitely NOT dad.

Eventually he did come out and I slept in the back of the Bogie-Beetle all the way home.  Being adorable in public can be soooo tiring…

Love,

Bogart
